All about Scales for Guitarist by Mr Kyaw Khine(Khuppu)

FOR SCALES Lovers

* Augmented scale - step, step, step, step, step, step: C-D-E-F#-G#-A#-C, doh ray me fe se le doh'.

** Diminished scale: step, half step, step, half step, step, half step, step, half step. C -D -Eb -F -Gb -G#- A -B-C, doh ray maw fah saw se lah te doh'.

***ETHNIC SCALES:

These approximations of ethnic scales can be used to create a flavor of the cultures. In their original forms, many of the scales do not use chromatics tuning- that is, they do not necessarily conform to an octave comprising twelve equal parts. Consequently, when the scales are played correctly, they will often sound alien or even out of tune to western ears.

# Pelog Scale: C -E-F-G-B, doh me fah soh te.
# Indian Scale: C-E-F-G-Bb, Doh me fah soh taw(tha).
# Harajoshi Scale:C-E-F#-G-B, doh-me-fe-soh-te.
# Kumoi Scale: C-Eb-F-Gb-Bb, doh-maw-fah-saw-taw(tha)
# Neapolitan Scale: C -Db-Eb-F-G'A-B-C, doh-raw-maw-fah-soh-lah-te-doh'.
